What are the functions of the ephod and the breastplate ?

以弗得与胸牌有何功能？

Ex 39:7 and he put them on the shoulders of the ephod , that they should be stones for a memorial to the children of israel ; as the lord commanded moses .

出39:7将这两块宝石安在以弗得的两条肩带上，为以色列人做纪念石，是照耶和华所吩咐摩西的。

And they did bind the breastplate by his rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue , that it might be above the curious girdle of the ephod , and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod ; as the lord commanded moses .

用一条蓝细带子把胸牌的环子和以弗得的环子系住，使胸牌贴在以弗得巧工织的带子上，不可与以弗得离缝，是照耶和华所吩咐摩西的。

But samuel ministered before jehovah , being a child , girded with a linen ephod .

那时撒母耳还是孩子、穿著细麻布的以弗得、侍立在耶和华面前。

And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue .

你要作以弗得的外袍，颜色全是蓝的。
