1. 允许…离开(医院、军队);(从监狱)释放
    When someone is discharged from hospital, prison, or one of the armed services, they are officially allowed to leave, or told that they must leave.

discharge的意思

    e.g. He has a broken nose but may be discharged today...

    e.g. You are being discharged on medical grounds.

2. 履行（职责）；完成（任务）
    If someone discharges their duties or responsibilities, they do everything that needs to be done in order to complete them.

    e.g. ...the quiet competence with which he discharged his many college duties.
           他得以胜任众多大学职务的那种内秀

3. 清偿(债务)
    If someone discharges a debt, they pay it.

    e.g. The goods will be sold for a fraction of their value in order to discharge the debt.
           货物将被贱价卖出以清偿债务。

4. 排出;使流出;放出
    If something is discharged from inside a place, it comes out.

    e.g. The resulting salty water will be discharged at sea...

    e.g. The bird had trouble breathing and was discharging blood from the nostrils.

5. （物质的）放出，排出
    When there is a discharge of a substance, the substance comes out from inside somewhere.

    e.g. They develop a fever and a watery discharge from their eyes...

    e.g. All discharges and disposals of radioactive waste from Springfields were within relevant limits.

6. 击发(枪、炮)
    If someone discharges a gun, they fire it.

    e.g. Lewis was tried for unlawfully and dangerously discharging a weapon.
           刘易斯因非法和不安全的开枪而受到了审判。
